I Love Her Outfit: Emilia Clarke/Game of Thrones rant

Not only do I like her outfit, I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS WOMAN. I have a legit girl crush on her after discovering her in Game of Thrones. She's so bloody pretty! And I love her character on GoT. Although she's strong and cut throat (Remember her hand maiden she locked up in that vault and "Dracrys"-ed the shit out of that dude who kept saying shit about her in Valyrian? This gurrrrrrrrllllll is like *snap in a z formation*), she still is compassionate and kind and just. By now you should know that I am Team Dany all the way. 

Back to Emilia Clarke, she's such a cute little thing (I think she's about 5"2) and I love her figure. Proof that you don't need to be a size 00 to look good. Look at the curves on this woman la. Malehhh. 

I Love Her Outfit: Miley Cyrus

I'm not embarrassed to say that I quite like Miley Cyrus right now. I still don't love her music or her acting or whatever the hell it is that she does. I just love her style. I think it was when she chopped off her hair was when I went like "WOW, this girl has some balls" I really like her sense of style now and her body is phenomenal. Though I think she might be going overboard with her "I'm no longer a Disney star, I can do whatever the fuck I want". Damn over already la. 

For those of you who haven't watched her "We Can't Stop" video and would like to waste 3 minutes of your life, here you go.

"La da di da di, we like to party" has been stuck in my head since. And yes, I do mind. 

The Peplum

I am treading thin ice with this one. Because I'm aware that the peplum is all the rage right now. It's everywhere! I see it in shopping windows, online blogshops, girls in my university are in love with this trend.

And I am here to proudly say that,

I AM NOT A FAN

The essential reason why I never caught on with it was because fortunately/unfortunately, I am already blessed with full hips. Just a little something something I inherited from my big-boned paternal Chinese family or my maternal Spanish ancestors. I'll never know who to thank or to blame.

So evidently, I didn't need any help in the hip accentuating department. When the peplum craze first broke out, I saw them on dresses. And I'll have to admit that the dresses were pretty but I admired them from afar. The accentuated the hips and the silhouette was lovely.

What a lot of people don't know is that the peplum has graced fashion magazines before. About 2 generations ago in the 1950's.

So anyway, the peplum with a dress I can tahan. But what I cannot stand is the peplum as a top. I'm sorry lah but that is just :(
I do not like it at all. It looks really funny. To me, there is no bottom you can pair it up with and it will look good.

Yecch. Just yechh. Peplum pants? God forbid! Kim Kardashian is a beautiful woman but she really needs to know how to dress for her shape. She seems to like the peplum so much. I see her in those dresses, tops (and pants?) a lot. She doesn't need to wear those things! She already has sexy ass curves. She needs no help from the peplum.

So far,out of all the peplum attire that I have seen, this number by Victoria Beckham worn Blake Lively is the only one that I find acceptable.

The cut is beautiful. THIS is how you do peplum. You equalize the heavy bottom with a strong top so it accentuates the tiniest part of a woman's body: her waist. She is really killing it here. I LAF IT.

I hope the peplum top dies out soon (refer to second last pic again for reference). The reason for this random I NO LIKE YOU post is because my lecturer wore a peplum top today and I was cringing the whole time. Me no like peplum. Unless you do it like Blake Lively.

Happy 21st Birthday Mark Jacob!

Mark Jacob turned 21 last week! So Vaenu and I were planning a SURPRISE party for Mark since it was his 21st. We wanted it to be super special and all. So Vaenu came up with this plan that I take Mark for dinner then later we surprise him at the venue. The idea was that he'll have a quiet boring night out with his crazy girlfriend and when he least expects it, my friends show up out of nowhere and we whisk him away to get shit faced. 

I took him to twentyone in BSC for dinner. Initial plan was WIP but they don't take reservations on weekdays and by the time we got there, it was packed. Speaking of WIP, now if someone asks me what is my most embarrassing moment, I'll have something to say. I was wearing this full skirt so it was all big and fluffy. WIP has fans on the floor. Yea..... You get the idea. Before I knew what had happened, my the I saw the edge of my skirt, cause it was in my face. FULL MARILYN MONROE MOMENT I had la. 

Except I didn't look this graceful. It was a full mess. And my skirt was shorter. WAYYYYY shorter.

I was so nervous throughout dinner because I was afraid I was gonna ruin the surprise. Mark knows me very well. We've known each other since we were 16. He knows when I'm lying and every minute facial expression is readable to him. So I was extremely careful. What I found difficult was updating my friends Vaenu, Chermaine and Sulekha who were all there already. I kept checking in with them to let them know how far into dinner we were so they could prepare themselves with the cake and whatnot. 

My heart was racing throughout dinner. I was confident Mark could finish his dinner quickly because he's a heavy eater and he was complaining about how hungry he was. Halfway through his burger he says to me, "I can't finish this la.." I replied with a smile and said "Take your time babe" but inside I was screaming "THEY ARE GONNA BE HERE ANY MINUTE!" Then he decides to order a second glass of beer and I'm all like "THEY ARE OUTSIDE!" I was a wreck. 

The burger really was huge though. He had to cut it in half so he could put it in his mouth. And mind you, he has a big mouth. 

So yadda yadda yadda, he we were done with dinner and SURPRISE! Everyone was waiting outside the restaurant with the cake. He was so shocked he just stood there for a couple of seconds and he didn't want to move TO his cake. So I took him by the arm and brought him to the cake. I'm so happy the plan worked! Cause if I blew it, Vaenu would have killed me. This was his brainchild after all. I was just the executor. 

We took him to Beer Belly this bar next to Sunway Giza. Our main and only goal was to make sure Mark got so fucked up, he wouldn't be able to walk straight. He had to down so much of shit.

Bottoms up! Us and our tequila shots. So happy Jane could make it. She rarely hangs out with us :( I hardly ever see her. But she came for this! And I izzz sooo happyzzzz.

Chermaine got a new phone, the Samsung S4 and she was testing out this cool new feature with the camera. Not really sure what it did. I think it was called the make-up feature or somethangg? I dunno. But this was the pic that we tried that feature with.

It has somewhat become a tradition for us to do a kissy picture with Mark on his birthday. We also did this last year for his 20th in Vertigo. Vaenu looks far too pleased. (Of course).

All in all, it was a fantastic day. Couldn't ask for anything more. Everybody had a great time. I didn't drink too much the girls and I thought it was a "smart" idea to mix drinks so that didn't go down too well for me. I can't remember much on what happened after we left the place. Quite fuzzy.
